Game Controller Christmas Ornament

The custom of decorating Christmas trees is said to have originated in 16th century Germany, starting with candles, apples and whimsically shaped pastries, then with the first glass ornaments — simple garlands of beads — created in Lauscha, and evolving into more elaborate glass designs as skilled glassblowers honed their techniques. By the 1840s, after a London newspaper published an illustration of Queen Victoria's Christmas tree adorned with beautiful glass baubles from her husband Prince Albert's native homeland, Lauscha started exporting its products throughout Europe. In the 1880s, American F. W. Woolworth discovered Lauscha's glass creations during a visit to Germany, and began importing them to the United States.
