Hedgehog Ornament

A one-of-a-kind work of art, crafted with precision yet rich in character. Queen Victoria launched the craze for blown-glass baubles on Christmas Eve 1832, when her tree featured glass ornaments from her husband's native Germany. Share in the tradition with this Old World ornament — mouthblown from molten glass and decorated by hand, it's truly a treasure.

The hedgehog is adorable but is extremely fragile. Each spike is individually put on - one came off as I was carefully unwrapping him. Fortunately I was able to replace it with super glue.

    Great gift
My friend collects hedgehogs so when I saw the detail on this I knew she'd love it. She did!

The Hedgehog was purchased for a gift because it is unique. The recipients just loved it's charm and prickliness and they like unusual items and keep sakes.

I am afraid he will get caught on the needles and end up broken but he is cute.

He is really adorable. The main reason for the low rating is the fact that even before I got him out of the box and plastic bag he came in, one of his spines fell off. Then when we here hanging him (very carefully, since we already saw a spine come off), three more proceeded to detach themselves.
