Slender acacia branches are sliced crosswise, then fitted and placed by hand to create this chest's dramatic oyster veneer. A hand-applied walnut stain accentuates the richly variegated pattern, which covers the front, sides, and top of the piece. Carved and built entirely by hand with a linen-fold front, rounded corners, and bun feet, this versatile chest has four deep drawers.
