Christopher Marley travels to tropical regions around the globe in search of exotic specimens for his creations. The Brookes Birdwing is a colorful resident of the Malaysian rainforest. This authentic specimen was raised and harvested after its natural lifespan in a captive breeding program initiated by the Papua New Guinea government to protect rainforest inhabitants. The Mosaic features butterflies from the Delias genus, hand-selected for their diverse brilliance. Mounted in museum-quality shadowboxes with eight-ply acid-free archival mattes and hermetically sealed to extend the life of the pieces. Labeled and signed by the artist.
