Nikki Baker’s simple yet stunning designs are a reflection of her California childhood, her impressive academic resume and her time spent traveling the world. After studying classical Greek architecture at Stanford, a topic that greatly influenced her design aesthetic, Nikki went on to earn her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and worked as an Assistant Professor at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. She also maintains an Honorary Appointment at University College London. An unlikely course for a jewelry designer perhaps, but this rigorous academic training has undoubtedly given her an edge, and a unique one at that.

Nikki discovered her passion for creating artisanal jewelry while living in Rome and London, and when strangers continually asked where to buy the pieces she was wearing, she turned her passion into a business. She is largely self-taught (though she did take courses at FIT and the School of Visual Arts) and it works to her advantage - there is a certain exuberant quality and an unconfined approach to her designs. Her collections are whimsical yet sophisticated, and delicate yet bold. Simultaneously saturated and transparent, her gleaming gemstone earrings and necklaces are the epitome of timeless luxury. Gump’s is proud to carry this wonderfully inspired, effortlessly wearable collection. Shop the Collection.
